Let’s keep the ‘Heart’ happy and not a broken malady!!

By Harsimran Kaur

The heart obsequiously pulsates, every day, every second; there is nothing we need to really bother about. The rhythmic enshroud buried under the skin pores just looks fantastic beating meticulously. Who has seen the heart soloist? It pumps in life; its mood in rictus or riley is a de jure. Look at us! We just feel the unattested breath to validate that we are still alive.

I, myself is an example of my heart beating incessantly and I make sure that it stays happy, just like the ‘frozen smiley’ that does not lose its ingenuity even after dipping in a pool of hot oil. Our heart, inconspicuously, goes through tremendous violations of its rhythmic consanguinity but that does not make it an antagonist. We are the brutal invaders tearing the parietal hegemony pouring in the ‘detritus’, and suffocating it with sclerotic salvo. Are we sure that we are keeping it happy because many don’t do? For some, the heart is like a wheel of the car churning its own dust to be cleaned by the cork handed rain drops, or just let it live with a palaver of disenchantments corrugating a sentimental plaque.

Who is at fault? Has the human mind become so naïve that it has stopped using its mind or does not have one?

There is this unexplained relation between the heart and the mind; we often fail to correlate but the sandbank of our thoughts has a direct effect on the pulsating profundity. Look at human schadenfreude in pride of its misbegotten impulses that reverberate inside as unchallenged follies? And one find day, everything, every bit of our negligence and schismatic endurance turns out to be a damp squib. The prosperity of the blood flow is awakened to the human foliage of perfidy, pejoratives and pontifications; the percipient heart thus sinks in the deluge of rutherfordium chemicals.

Was it the minds fault? Aren’t emotions felt by the heart? Yes, of course but our sentiments are made of thoughts that are prodigiously ploughed by the mind. Thus, the mind and heart play a discordant tune often; the mind may lose its sanity and the heart files a suit against aneurysm. Ever heard of the feather-brained friends; Coronary Artery Diseases, Abnormal Heart Rhythm, Stroke, Cardiac Arrest and the Machiavellian Heart Attack? They all are the lamprey inhibiting the muscular propensity of the heart to beat in tangent with the verisimilitude existence.

Everyone just talks about the influx of judgmental heart diseases that perish inside the pericardium, the intolerable flow of cholesterol, the forbidden diabetes and the pullulative smoking puffs. But, hardly anybody talks about controlling the mind to keep the heart happy. There is undeniable stress in life, agreed! We emphatically lay the foundation of ‘meditation’, ‘yoga’ and ‘exercise’ to compose the mind but again nobody talks about ‘surrendering’?

Is surrendering giving up or is it all about adjustments? Often, it’s important to train the mind to keep the heart flesh pumping properly. Life is depressing and can often be a lion’s cave fearing the anonymous roar; thus the heart begins to sink and palpitations creep in the center of the chest. We start avoiding situations and the boring burden leaves the heart mystified and incoherent. At this juncture, it’s prudent to surrender to make the ‘mind’ and the ‘heart’ responsive.

‘Surrender’ starts with the mind to accept the ‘ultimate truth’ and not just merely adjust to situations.

‘Surrender’ is training the mind to accept ‘grief’ not as an enemy but as a momentary transition of considering another precinct of life.

‘Surrender’ is about leaving the outcome to the ‘Divine’ and awakening one’s spiritual transition.

‘Surrender’ is about self-love and not tiring oneself with absolutions.

All this really works! The ‘heart’ runs happily. The beats become less apoplectic, and a sense of calmness prevails, the éclat; a perfect synchronization of the mind and the heart.

  • ‘Love less if the heart fails to accompli to the moral priggishness of the incendiary minds’.
  • ‘Eat the portion of the pie that sings the leitmotif of the survival carnivalesque’.
  • ‘Rest, if the failing limbs are treacherously put on a path of brave pursuits. A fantasy sometimes is always better than ingratiated reality’.
  • Think in wilderness of self-appeasement. Morally accepted virtues bereft you of inspirations.

Wondrous are the ways of life. Let the heart feel what the mind proposes; this is the ‘ultimate truth’. Let the mind think in conjunction with the heart; ‘this is life’. As the mind surrenders, the heart thus becomes softer and ready to live again.

If it was so easy to hate,

The heart would be a deadpan musical note,

The trick is to deceive an attitude,

That makes ‘love’ a forlorn entity.

The mind knows the twist & turns

To carry on the heart legacy!
